Terms and Conditions

Auto Master (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2025/198072/07) is a South African digital marketplace that connects car buyers, sellers, and service providers. We are not a car dealer, insurer, mechanic, or financial institution.

ECTA Section 43 disclosure

Auto Master gives you a platform to:

• Browse and list vehicles for sale
• Find car parts
• Discover mechanics and service providers
• Read car reviews and automotive news

We connect you to other people and businesses. We do not own, inspect, or take responsibility for any vehicle, part, or service listed on the platform.

When you use Auto Master, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and honest information in your listings and account
• Not post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content
• Deal directly and honestly with other users
• Follow all South African laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008

Auto Master is a marketplace platform. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. This means:

• We do not handle money between buyers and sellers
• We do not guarantee the condition, ownership, or legality of any listed vehicle or part
• We are not responsible for disputes between users

Before you pay for anything: inspect the vehicle or part in person, check the seller's documents, and confirm all terms directly with the seller.

If you pay Auto Master directly - for example, for a premium listing, dealer subscription, or membership - your payment is processed securely through our payment partners (such as PayFast, Peach Payments, or Ozow).

These fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

You are responsible for keeping your account details secure. Do not share your password.

If we find that your account has been used to post false or fraudulent listings, we may suspend or remove your account. We will tell you why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.

We collect and use your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can read our full Privacy Policy.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal details from public view. However, if you had active or historical listings on the platform, we are required to keep certain records in a secure, encrypted state for a reasonable period. This is to protect against fraud and to comply with our legal obligations. This information will not be shared with anyone except law enforcement if legally required.

The Auto Master name, logo, and website content belong to Auto Master (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.

Auto Master includes links and buttons that take you to websites or apps operated by other companies. These currently include Naked Financial Technology for insurance referrals, WhatsApp for messaging and our community group, and Facebook/Meta for our social page.

When you follow an external link, you leave Auto Master. The third party's own terms, privacy practices, security and availability apply. We do not control third-party websites or apps and cannot guarantee their content, products, prices, quotes, messages, availability or security. A link does not by itself mean that Auto Master represents or endorses that third party.

Check the destination, terms and privacy policy before giving personal information, sending a message or making a payment. Do not share passwords, verification codes or other sensitive information through public groups or with an unverified person.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will let you know about significant changes by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of Auto Master after changes means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved under South African law.
