Auto Master is committed to protecting your personal information. We collect, store, and process only the data required to securely deliver our marketplace features, and we do not share your private records without your explicit action or consent.

1. Information We Collect

To operate our secure automotive platform, we collect necessary data parameters, including:

Account credentials, contact details, full name, and mobile phone numbers.
Dealership verification credentials, including CIPC files or business registration references.
Automotive metadata such as Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN), engine data, and listing photos.
Baseline profile details required to accurately fetch insurance estimates from third-party provider APIs.

2. Processing Rationales

Your details are processed to render vehicle and parts listings, generate automated alerts, confirm account legitimacy via security checks, and safely route information to partner tracking or insurance ecosystems at your direct request.

3. POPIA Retention & Deletion Policy

In accordance with Section 24 of POPIA, users can initiate profile deletion requests through their settings dashboard. Upon account closure, all public-facing profile identities are immediately scrubbed and anonymized.

Fraud Ledger Exemption: If an account has posted live vehicle inventory or sent platform communications, underlying access metrics and system identity records are securely archived and kept in our database logs. This prevents fraudulent users from attempting to scam individuals and instantly clearing their tracks. This data remains unreachable by the public and is preserved strictly to comply with South African law enforcement requests or legal subpoenas.
