1. Introduction
This manual explains the records held by Auto Master (Pty) Ltd, how to request access to those records, and the process followed when a request is received. PAIA supports the constitutional right of access to information held by private bodies where the information is required to exercise or protect a right.

3. Information Regulator
The Information Regulator oversees PAIA compliance and provides guidance, forms, and a complaint process.
4. About Auto Master
Auto Master is a South African digital automotive marketplace connecting car buyers, sellers, and service providers through www.automastersa.co.za. The platform enables users to:
- Browse and list vehicles for sale
- Find and list car parts
- Connect with participating mechanics and service providers
- Access automotive news and reviews
Auto Master is a marketplace intermediary. It does not own, inspect, or take physical custody of listed vehicles or parts.
5. Records Held by Auto Master
5.1 Corporate Records

- Shareholder and governance records
- Board resolutions, meeting minutes, and statutory registers
5.2 Financial Records
- Annual financial statements and accounting records
- Bank statements, tax records, and SARS correspondence
- Payment processing records, invoices, and receipts

7. How to Submit a PAIA Request
Submit a written request using the prescribed Form 2: Request for Access to Record. Send it to info@automastersa.co.za with the subject line “PAIA Request”.
Your request should include:
- Your full name, contact details, and proof of identity
- A clear description of the record you require
- The right you seek to exercise or protect and why the record is required
- Your preferred form of access, such as an electronic copy or inspection
Current PAIA forms are available from the Information Regulator. Applicable prescribed fees will be communicated before the request is processed.
Auto Master will respond within 30 days. Where PAIA permits an extension, you will be notified of the reason and revised date.
8. Grounds for Refusal
Access may be refused on grounds provided by PAIA, including where disclosure would:
- Unreasonably disclose personal information about a third party
- Disclose confidential or commercially sensitive third-party information
- Endanger an individual's safety or prejudice privacy rights
- Disclose legally privileged communications
- Unreasonably harm Auto Master's commercial interests
If access is refused, written reasons and available remedies will be provided.
9. Third-Party Notification
If a requested record contains information about a third party, Auto Master may be required to notify that party and allow them to make representations before deciding the request.
10. Complaints and Court Relief
If you are dissatisfied with a response or receive no response, you may submit Form 5: Complaint Form to the Information Regulator or apply to a court for appropriate relief under PAIA.

11. Protection of Personal Information
Auto Master processes personal information under POPIA. Read our Privacy Policy or contact the Information Officer at info@automastersa.co.za.
12. Updates to This Manual
This manual will be updated when required by changes in law or Auto Master operations. The current version will remain available on this page. Next review date: 30 June 2027.
